Award and Product

Korean health functional food company WeBioM said its Doctor PS brand took first place in the brain health functional food category of the 2026 Consumer Satisfaction Brand Awards, an event organized by JY Network with Donga Ilbo as sponsor. It is the brand's fifth consecutive win.

Doctor PS contains 300 mg of soy-derived phosphatidylserine per daily serving, the recommended intake level in Korea, and carries a claim approved by Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety stating that it may help improve cognitive decline due to aging. It is sold as a powder in a scorched-rice flavor.

WeBioM reported cumulative sales of 100 billion Korean won and 87 million packs since the brand launched, and said it has expanded the line with Doctor PS 70, Doctor PS MAX, Doctor PS 70 Elite, which adds a tension-relief claim, and Doctor PS 70 Blood Sugar Care.

The figures are company-reported and were published by Donga Ilbo.

Buyer Takeaway

Sustained Korean sales volume for a claim-approved PS product signals regulatory acceptance and mainstream consumer demand for PS in Korea. Suppliers serving Korean brands should be ready to support MFDS claim documentation, 300 mg daily serving alignment, and format-specific specifications for powder products.

Nutranexa reports the announcement as market news and does not verify the company's sales figures independently.
