What Is Launching

Kirin Holdings, Blackmores, and Kyowa Hakko Bio said they are introducing two Cognizin citicoline products: Blackmores Cognition Ultra in Australia and Blackmores Ultra Brain Care in New Zealand.

The companies described the launch as Blackmores' first product development focused on cognitive performance since joining the Kirin Group.

Formulation and Channels

According to the announcement, each tablet contains 250 mg of Cognizin citicoline, with a suggested intake of two tablets per day. The products are positioned as caffeine-free.

Blackmores said New Zealand pharmacy sales begin in late July 2026, while Australia starts with Blackmores' e-commerce channel before wider pharmacy distribution in September.

Buyer Takeaway

For ingredient buyers, the launch is a signal that branded citicoline is moving further into mainstream pharmacy and cross-market APAC distribution.

The announcement also noted that Cognizin citicoline has been listed as a new ingredient by Australia's Therapeutic Goods Administration, which matters for market-entry planning and dossier review.
