A new adult meta-analysis reported modest reductions in total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, apolipoprotein B, and the total-cholesterol-to-HDL ratio after short-term intake of bovine-derived MFGM or milk polar lipids.

Evidence Base
The systematic review and meta-analysis screened 730 records and included 13 randomized controlled trials covering 14 articles in disease-free adults.
Interventions lasted from 2 to 16 weeks, with reported bovine-derived MFGM or milk polar lipid intakes ranging from 19.8 mg/day to 5000 mg/day.
What Shifted
Pooled analyses found modest decreases in fasting total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, apolipoprotein B, and the total-cholesterol-to-HDL ratio.
The review did not find clear effects on fasting HDL cholesterol, triglycerides, glucose, insulin, or blood pressure, and said evidence for postprandial and cognitive outcomes remains limited.
Alıcı Paketi
For developers using dairy polar lipids or MFGM-rich fractions, the paper offers a stronger evidence package for cardiometabolic positioning than single-study citations alone.
The authors still describe the effect size as modest, so formulation teams will need dose, matrix, and comparator context before translating the findings into product strategy.
