Price Move

ChemAnalyst reported that China's non-GMO liquid soya lecithin grade FOB Tianjin rose 2.1% month on month in July 2026 to USD 1,200 per metric ton.

Firmer soybean-derived feedstock economics supported the increase, with Chinese soybean meal prices rising 6.27% during July.

Supply Factors

A maintenance shutdown at Gushen Biological Technology Group's Dezhou, Shandong facility, reported to have annual soy-lecithin capacity of around 2,000 metric tons, tightened prompt availability.

Food, bakery, confectionery, nutrition, and animal-feed applications continued to provide a stable demand base for the ingredient.

Outlook

ChemAnalyst expects August prices to remain relatively firm but notes they could moderate while soybean availability stays ample and competing vegetable-oil supplies limit further cost escalation.

A stronger recovery in September and October is possible if festive-season food production, export enquiries, and soybean-derived feedstock costs strengthen.
