The Journal of Applied Physiology paper combined in vitro work, diabetic-mouse testing, and a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled human trial in people with type 2 diabetes.

In the clinical arm, participants received phosphatidylserine supplementation for four weeks at 900 mg per day, delivering about 280 mg per day of phosphatidylserine.

According to the abstract, supplementation improved leg blood-flow responses to an oral glucose load and reduced load-dependent aortic pulse wave velocity, a marker related to arterial stiffness.
